Calico Basin is on the occupied territory of the Newe (Western Shoshone) and Southern Paiute people.
One of our favorite day hike spots. Calico Basin is just before you get to Red Rock, without the entrance fee. Great rock climbing and scrambling. There are hiking trails and wooden boardwalk path.
